Duxford

Base of operations

We operate out of former RAF base Duxford, the optimum airfield for the finest Spitfire and vintage warbird flight experiences. Easy to access and steeped in history, this famous heritage site is family friendly with on-site restaurant, cafés and children’s play area. This centre for historic aviation is not to be missed.

An iconic landmark in Battle of Britain history it is still an operational airfield today, and home to the Imperial War Museums and the Aircraft Restoration Company. Situated in Cambridgeshire, an easy hop, skip and a jump to London, it was fundamental in repelling the Luftwaffe aircraft who were intent on bombing our capital city.

It became the first home of the Supermarine Spitfire in 1938, and now it offers a unique opportunity to our passengers to experience what test pilot Jeffrey Quill did all those years ago; the chance to discover the majesty of a Spitfire in flight.

It is perfectly situated to allow for tours of historic Cambridge and the cherished Madingley War Memorial. Soar through the airspace of the Battle of Britain and discover the ultimate Spitfire flight experience.

But that is not all you will discover here, as Aerial Collective is located on the site of the renowned Aircraft Restoration Company, giving us access to impeccable engineers as well as the ability to offer flight experiences in other incredible warbirds; some of which you cannot find anywhere else in the world.
