We are currently readying the Blenheim for entry into the collective but that doesn’t mean you can’t learn about what makes this particular Warbird so special.

The Story

What can be said about the Bristol Blenheim? This is a truly unique aircraft and we are privileged to have access to the only airworthy one in the world.

The aircraft came into being as a private venture in 1934 when the Bristol Aeroplane Company was ordered to create a high speed 6 to 8 seater twin engine civil aircraft. Unfortunately when it was put into service as a war fighting machine it became clear that its lack of speed made it vulnerable to enemy attack.

The result was that its crews paid a heavy price defending the nation, to the extent that Winston Churchill compared their bravery to ‘The Charge of the Light Brigade.’ Of the 1089 Bristol Blenheim bombers that were in service, this is now the only one that still takes to the skies, and is the result of over 25,000 man hours of hard work.

This priceless piece of aircraft history is now part of the collective, and flying in the Blenheim will give you a truly unforgettable experience.
